Theme: "Agricultural Engineer: Leading the Development of Green Energy to Ensure Climate Mitigation and Adaptation"
The Philippine Agricultural Engineering Week is celebrated
every fourth week of April pursuant to proclamation No. 369 dated 10 April
1989.
On 21-25 April 2008, the PSAE will celebrate the 19th Agricultural
Engineering Week highlighted by the 58th PSAE Annual National Convention
and 6th International Agricultural Engineering Conference and Exhibition
at the UPLB Electrical Engineering Building, Los Baños, Laguna,
Philippines. This event will form part of the centennial celebration of
the University of the Philippines.
The weeklong activity will include eco-tour, exhibits, business forum,
trade matching, tractor rodeo, design contest of engineering innovations/inventions,
video and technical paper presentations on the development and trends
in agricultural engineering and allied fields.

The official language of the conference is English.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Interested PERSONS or ORGANIZATIONS are enjoined to present new developments, technologies and trends in agricultural engineering particularly in the following areas:
> Renewable Energy and Agricultural Electrification
> Environmental and Waste Management
> Agricultural Machinery, Equipment, and Power Units
> Irrigation, Soil and Water Conservation
> Postharvest Technology, Agricultural Processing, and Food Engineering
> Agricultural Buildings and Structures
> Related fields
Abstract not exceeding 300 words should be submitted on or before 31 January
2008. The abstract will be reviewed and the decision will be conveyed
to the author by 28 February 2008 (extended). The guidelines
in writing and presentation will be forwarded to the author with the acceptance
letter. The final paper (e-file and hardcopy) must be submitted not later
than 15 March 2008.
REGISTRATION FEE
The Registration Fee is Four Thousand Two Hundred Philippine
Pesos (Php 4,200.00) for local delegates, One Hundred Fifty US Dollars
(US $ 150.00) for international participants, and Two Thousand One Hundred
Philippine Pesos (2,100.00) for students.
